Those who memorize the Qur’ān and act in accordance with it are the people of Allāh, who are as close to Allāh as a person’s family is to him. They are called thus by way of honoring them, just as (the Ka‘bah) is called the House of Allāh. Also memorizing the Qur'ān is important to perform Salah.

  Rejoice, Dear Learner: 

 :قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

(‏"‏ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ أَهْلِينَ مِنَ النَّاسِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ هُمْ قَالَ ‏"‏ هُمْ أَهْلُ الْقُرْآنِ أَهْلُ اللَّهِ وَخَاصَّتُهُ ‏"‏ ‏(سنن ابن ماجه

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Said:

"'Allāh has His own people among mankind.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, who are they?' He said: 'The people of the Qur'an, the people of Allāh and those who are closest to Him.'" (Sunan Ibn Majah 215 )

• It is not sufficient for a person just to recite Qur’ān in order to be one of the people of the Qur’ān, unless he also acts in accordance with it, adheres to its limits and follows its teachings.

• Even if you cannot memorize the entire Qur'ān, strive to memorize as much as you can. Don’t hesitate to begin this blessed journey of memorization, even if it’s only a part of it.
